An individual suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome has numbness in the hand and wrist pain. Weakness in the hand and fingers. Inability to feel your thumb properly, clumsiness and occasional pain shooting up in the forearm.


What causes it?


✔Overuse and injury attribute to swelling and irritation of the nerves and tendons around the wrist such as repetitive grasping, flexion of the wrist and fingers, using a screwdriver, opening or tightening jars.

✔Broken or dislocated bones in the wrist which produce swelling

✔Arthritis, especially the rheumatoid type

✔Thyroid issue

✔Diabetes

✔Hormonal changes associated with menopause

✔Pregnancy

✔Sports where you grip a lot, like tennis and golf

✔Use of vibrating/heavy machines, like drills or lawn mowers.


How to Treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome⁉
